According to this NYT article and to the TNR blog, even Republicans are not taking Allen seriously owing to the macaca incident and his going ballistic over being asked about his Jewish heritage.

The racism exists by those ( ex: JK) that find political opportunism in what is obviously a distasteful political stunt. However, one to be expected. pitiful.
