I`m willing to bet that employees are inspected on entry and departure. It`s not money that`s missing, it`s stocks of precious metals. Those are heavy, difficult to transport in quantity and easily detected. If there`s a crime involved, rather than incompetence (something the source didn`t have details on except for one MP`s remarks) I suspect someone was cooking the books and that the `missing`metals were never there to begin with.
