Ha! They were true but they were the mad/emotional rantings of a hormonal woman. (see I'm being so non equitable and blaming my womanhood) I took a break although brief and was lured back here by the wonderful additions to Clipmarks and my minor addiction to clipping things.

Not only are these fascinating on their own, but they are a major inspiration for Charlie Kaufman, the scriptwriter behind "Being John Malkovich" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" among others.

For references to the pair, note the names of John Cusak's street puppets in BJM. ESotSM features several lines of poetry (notable among them is the title) from either one of these letters or a poem written later about the incident.
