These are people that were "suspected" of being terrorists, seized and held and tortured for years without any charges being brought against them.
The pentagon apparently thought they were terrorists but never charged them with anything and then released them.

And know I'm expected to believe that they really were terrorists the whole time and the pentagon was fooled somehow into releasing them? While at the same time admitting their return to terrorism is only a suspicion that can't be confirmed?

If I'm able to swallow that absurdity and presume that the pentagon is correct and all 61 have resumed terrorism then by their own figures 89% of the released detainees were not even suspected of going "back" to terrorism.

So 89% of the released detainees were either never terrorists to begin with or were somehow "cured" by the Guantanamo treatment.

As long as you have no problem with a large number of innocent people being imprisoned and tortured without charges in order to uncover a few guilty then greatly expanding the Guantanamo process will very likely find more terrorists ready to attack.

That worked very well for Stalin. He was constantly unearthing plots by wreckers,Troskyites,kulaks,counter-revolutionaries,
and other terrorists through his use of torture and terror. So what if tens of millions had to perish in order to "get to the truth."
