Religious choices are personal, but why should they be respected? I'm not suggesting persecution, mind you. And I'm not saying people shouldn't be respectFUL of others' religious choices. Just why should 'the choice itself' be respected? It should be questioned, and critically, because people make decisions based on those belief choices that can adversely affect others in many harmful ways, and often do. The theme of the article IS about being respectful. They just used the word respected instead. My bad. I didn't read the article, just the part you clipped. |
