Any smaller, and it would not have the capacity. I have no doubt this is an incorrect assumption. We constantly find there is more to the brain than we guessed. Perhaps with the talk of the 'spirit' of man, the brain is merely a transceiver between us and an existence that is beyond 4 dimensions. I know it is an unusual theory, but it just occurred to me as I was writing. As they often say however, we are only scratching the surface. I wonder how surprised scientists would be if we used a shovel, instead of our fingernails.(Perhaps that would be too primitive, when we are likely to need a key.) There is more to reality than meets the eye. The fraction of the spectrum we see is minuscule. There are no doubt spectra of which we are unaware.
