ouyangwulong says: So apparently Yahoo! is named after the noise a journalist makes when the Chinese police break his arms in prison. Way to go you guys! Serriously, I don't know how these people sleep at night. I'll never use Yahoo mail and I don't suggest anyone else do it either. If they'll turn you over to the secret police in China, don't be surprised if they're willing to do it in your country too. So Yahoo and At&T are out. The last question was retorical. Rhetorical, of course. Grrr, I hate typos. Actually, here's what's left: Mix Cascades and Proxy Servers. TOR was a great one, before it got flooded with obnoxious teenagers setting up bit-torrent streams on it to pirate Britney Spears' latest single without getting caught. Now its slower than molasses in January. I recommend JAP. It's German, it's a little slower, but it's pretty much as safe as you can get on the internet! Since I live in China and post to the internet over a Chinese internet connection, this is naturally very important to me. My goodness I can only imagine! To me (as of yet, but who knows where the world is headed) anonymity and privacy are more matters of principle, than of personal security. Your comment is an in-your-face warning to the rest of us of how fleeting our freedoms and security can be. May you stay safe Ouy. |
