World War II on the American mainland. The Battle of Los Angeles was one night of anti-aircraft ordinance fired at unknown objects over the city of Los Angeles. The incident occurred only one day after a weak Japanese bombardment of an oil facility in Santa Barbara. The objects in the LA sky were never identified. |
