Well then, in that case I think it's time for everyone to see those movies! I'm a big fan of fiction, but I think your time would be better spent watching the extended LOTR trilogy. But if you want to watch a really good documentary, try watching Obsession. It is the movie that radical Islam doesn't want you to see. You left out DoaP (Death of a President)... "Obsession" is to Radical Islam what "Jesus Camp" is the Radical Christians.. an over-hyped overly biased view from the outside... Have you seen Obsession? DL'd it off a torrent... What's obsession about? I have to say Fahrenheit 9/11 was refused showings in several theatres in my state when it premiered. Lemme add a plug for The Fog of War. It's really good. For anyone who doesn't know, it's Errol Morris using his famous "interview box" (or whatever he calls it) with Robert McNamara -- an extended reflection on our mistakes in Vietnam. Not to mention Morris's other documentary masterpiece, Thin Blue Line. Both, incidentally, have Phillip Glass scores. Another movie that's not radical enough to be on this list, but which many people here might like, is Control Room, a documentary on al-Jazeera. (One of the amusing moments in the movie is when you see alternating clips of Donald Rumsfeld co... I agree with Debbyski. Farenheit 9/11 really should be on that list. No one should see Fahrenheit 9/11 without seeing Fahrenhype 9/11 as well. It is important to get both sides of the story. I think the mainstream media gave us the other side of THAT story just fine!! I say make the list the top 11 to include Fahrenheit 911. GASP! George Bush is against Natalie Portman! |
