hudgal1 says: Why is it ok to fry someone, yet not allow them to abort a fetus? Why is it ok to kill someone who has not even had the chance to do anything wrong--but let serial killers live? I can understand those who are pro-abortion and pro-death penalty. Kill them all and let God sort them out. I can understand those who are pro-life and anti-death penalty. Protect all life, even the worst of men. I can understand those who are pro-life and pro-death penalty. Protect the innocent and punish the guilty. I don't understand those who are pro-abortion and anti-death penalty. Because somoeone who is on death row has a higher percentage chance of being a murderer or career criminal than a fetus. The fetus has yet to show the world what gifts or curses it will bring. Times up for the death row, person, they had their chance to show thw world what positive aspects they could offer and blew it. I can understand those who are pro-abortion and pro-death penalty. Kill them all and let God sort them out.Now you're talking. That is good, n2s. I'm a staunch Conservative that is pro-life and anti-death penalty. I do agree this is an issue ther right has to reconcile itself on. Given that Conservatives have a distrust of Government's ability for competence, why do we assume it can be competent in determining decisions of life and death? I don't understand those who are pro-abortion and anti-death penalty.Pro-abortion - or more accurately characterised as woman's choice in consultation with her man - because you just can't practically set a hard and fast rule that covers every circumstance where a woman falls pregnant for all time. And anti death-penalty, not because you shouldn't take the life of someone who is guilty of, say, murder, but because you can't guarantee that justice is right 100% of the time. |
