I think it's already happening. I've come across some pretty dumb on-liners, myself included. “Hungry?” she said, eyes widening in disbelief. “That’s a country? I’ve heard of Turkey. But Hungry? I’ve never heard of it.” This has been playing on American TV screens as advertising for the show for maybe the last couple of weeks. Since it is just too perfect, a doubting sort such as myself has to wonder whether it was a plant by the producers of the show. There would be ways of planting the potential for the line in her mind without her being aware of the plan. For example the preshow dialog/interview could have discussed Turkey as a country, mentioned in a joking way the turkey as a bird ha ha, and without ever mentioning Hungary and left a strong enough impression in her mind to la... Oh, don't blame the media. TVs have an OFF button, and so do remote controls; it's us that don't push them. The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.
