I'd like to add some little notes: Beirut *was* one of the most beautiful cities in the world with its rich historical and cultural heritage, amazing Mediterranean beaches, avenues with palm trees, colorful markets and a vibrant night life. For centuries, Muslims, Jews and Christians had lived there side by side in peace.
