I'd like to see just one conservative man clip a story about violence against women that doesn't happen at the hands of a Muslim.

Unfortunately, some religions have a greater tendency towards these things, though, you are right, it can be found in any religion. Arisfali's clip about a "fashion parade" they held in Pakistan against "fanatic opposition" was a gift of hope for women everywhere, yet, more so in countries where they are obviously secondary citizens more than what is generally accepted in western nations.

Hey, I was born in one of those countries. I was blessed with parents who could adapt to the new country and who beyond normal teenage rebellion, were more interested in my wellbeing, my happy future life.

They weren't "stuck", fossilized into beliefs of a country they left only to fail to harmonize with the world they moved into. Yes, there were cultural/religious battles (there is a very fine line between relgion and culture). Yet, I suppose they were already not the "norm" in their own country so their ability to adapt was better, which simply made it better for us growing up in a different world.
