I'm not sure I find it to be a hilarious example though; more of a ridiculously apt example I'd say. I'm curious though to the original reasoning of the religious dogma. I'll bet that, like many archaic religious writings, there may have been some sort of ostensibly "practical" reason for the original "law". What makes it ridiculous, is in seeking to use that dogma today, and claim it's relevent to the 21st Century. But considered up next to "honor killings", I suppose I'd rather let my co-worker suckle me, than be stoned to death by my male family members and...
