That's why, at this point, the person was arrested regardless what the age."Good grief - whatever happened to Time Out?? What ever happened to busting their butts? I take care of my grandchildren after school. I walk up each afternoon and bring them home. Our kindergartener (just 6) told of a fellow student who screamed, yelled, hit the teacher, threw a desk and had to be restrained and the assistant principal called to come and escort (bodily carry her) to the office where her parent/parents were contacted. I'm sorry. Did you ever have to experience that in your school? And in kindergarten? That was NOT a safe place for our grand-daughter (or the others) to be. Deal with the child...but in a place that does not endanger the others or subject them to that kind of behavior. It is more likely that this child is permitted to act this way in the home environment - thus feels that it is acceptable in the school. The child needs intervention and whether it was the police taking them for holding or a principal, etc. In this day and age, when kids are brining weapons into school and 6, 7, 8 years old, I would consider an outburst like that something that warrants police. The law should require, if it does not, that the child's home life be investigated, in order to see what the child is experiencing there - whether it is from the parents or perhaps television.
