First of all, let’s stop this rant about ‘communist czars in the government’. The term ‘czar’ (I hate this term because people always misinterpret it) is slang for someone with lots of power who reports directly to the president instead of his chief of staff. “They don’t read their own bills”. True, of both parties. This did not just start when Obama got in.

“They’re trampling over the constitution”. Did you not pay attention to what Bush/Cheney did to us? It isn’t just democrats.

“They can’t even run Amtrak, but they want to run healthcare”. Absolutely true. They can’t run social security, they can’t run the VA, they can’t run blah, blah, blah. But the “they” you are referring to are members of both parties and these things that ‘they’ cannot run have been in existence under both parties for years.

Is anyone else seeing a trend here?

“Well, we’re a Christian nation founded on Christian principles, and we need to get back to those”. America is not a Christian nation and was not founded on Christian principles. Educate yourselves. George Washington said “The United States is in no sense founded upon the Christian doctrine.” Thomas Jefferson said “I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature.” John Adams said “The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity.” None of these people were atheists. When it comes to our founding fathers it would seem that the rhetoric of the Religious Right is based more on wishful thinking than on truth.

Please read the Constituion and Bill of Rights. They are NOT the ten commandments. I agree this nation needs to get back to what are considered to be ‘Christian principles’ but there are Christians doing some very un-Christian like things. So how about practicing what you preach? It has to start with every individual, don’t be selective about it, do it for yourselves as well as for the country. We are all Americans here.

As far as candidates for office goes, you need to look a lot deeper into these people’s track record and not just depend on MSM sound bites. Just because someone is anti-Washington does not make her a good candidate for president. Just like just because someone says he is f...

All I’m sayin’ is don’t pretend that what you are complaining about is only the ways of democrats. When the republicans get back in, and they will, the same things you complain about today will continue and you will be sadly disappointed that things have not changed. Only at that time you won’t be belly-aching, it will be the democrats.
