masbury says: Used on US prisoners during Korean conflict I am SO glad that our interrogation techniques are based on a documented called "Communist Attempts to Elicit False Confessions from Air Force Prisoners of War". Yeah, their not even original. I guess we will be spared all those comparisons to how the U.S. goverment is swell because the Chicoms are so horrible. Come on. Jeesh. We put our own Special Forces Soldiers and pilots through this program. It is effective but not life threatening. And more importantly it was in place long before this war. The pilots are not actually tortured, they receive survival training and are shown graphics about these torture mechanism and how to resist them. Not the same. They are actually practicing techniques designed by the Chinese Communist and used against UN troops (including Americans). You are right, they aren't tortured because this isn't torture. If sleep deprivation was torture then I was tortured a lot in boot camp. If fact my newborn has been torturing me a lot lately. Ok, you and logic don't inhabit the same hemisphere so I will cease and desist of arguing the point. Sam, you justify more illegal conduct than anyone I ever met. Sleep deprivation is devastating, and goes on for days, and brings people near to insanity by disabling normal brain function. To liken it to caring for a newborn - to suggest you suffer anything like they suffer - is cold, man. |
