Sadly, as the news medium is being swallowed up by Murdoch people must question the diet of "news" they have the potential to be fed. With tentacles stretching throughout the World there is far more power in this empire than any democracy you can name. You can elect Governments but they will be puppets in the hands of people controlling the news diet to the World population.

With the news yesterday that Rupert Murdoch was buying the prestigious
business newspaper The Wall Street Journal, it's becoming more than apparent
