I can see where Noam is coming from. However, it's our responsibility as citizens to ask questions any time something doesn't stand up to scrutiny. In the case of 9-11, and the resulting war in Iraq, I find myself dissatisfied with the 911 Commission's report as well as with the the FEMA and NIST accounts for the collapse of the three WTCs. As Noam said, odd things happen in controlled scientific experiments. This is absolutely true. However when there are discrepancies, it should behoove us to try to address those issues rather than avoid them. The fact that the official reports didn't entertain the possibility of demolition bothers me, especially when demolition could explain some of the d...

I have great respect for Chomsky, but on this we disagree. What does he mean by it doesn't matter who did it?? Of course it matters! It matters immensely! The lies or half truths we are being fed about 9/11 changed the course of history and millions of people have been killed because of it. Of course it matters!

But the Manhattan Project wasn't kept secret. In fact they made quite a splash when then uncovered themselves. As for MK-ULTRA...Very different from loading a building with tons of explosives, cutting I-beams, etc. all while these buildings are occupied. So I’d say I disagree with you.

rebuttal video 2008

kmcolo-blueridge has recently brought this stuff back up in a clip, and as I said there, I'm completely unconvinced by the truthers so far (which feels like resistance to something too horrible to accept), but remaining open to the evidence. Chomsky's points seem more propagandist (using his goodwill to make a dismissal of the research) than reasoned.
