Sounding as if it was HIS idea, this little boy in an old man's body talks about how he and the Clear Channel boss ("Mark Mays and I")never thought the letter would generate such high amount and volume of bids($ 2,100,000).
He speaks as if the fact that it is HIS letter with the signatures of 41 Democrats on it,("We were short on time or WE would have gotten more names on it") is the reason why people are bidding on it.
Harry!! Your attempts to HORN IN, while conceding backhand kudos to Rush for helping out, are going to taint the whole project and undermine the value of the letter, you self-important over-inflated little rag doll.
The value of the letter is in the semi-facetious yet realistic view of your snitty little attempts to suppress speech and your merit-less, misguided attacks.

Everything about Rush Limbaugh's efforts with the letter, choosing the beneficiary fund, running the auction, etc., has to do with exposing Sen.Reid's using of Congress to try to intimidate a private citizen and harm his method of making a living.
E-Bay broke in the last minutes of bidding, overloaded.
Limbaugh pledged from the beginning to MATCH the winning bid making the final total donation over 4.2 million. "Senator"Reid took the floor at noon to try to take credit by saying "WE" at every (in)appropriate juncture and how he would not look like an unfortunate opportunistic weenie, by R's & D's alike, would be beyond me. I would have liked to pan around the gallery while trying this new s...

Ya almost have to feel sad for him.
In a way, I actually do. He must feel like he's walking around wearing an over-sized donkey costume .

A perfect example of political-speak. I'm amazed at some people's abilities to turn every situation...and make themselves *look* good. It's really hard for him to do on this one...he looks and sounds very foolish. Can anyone say 'backfire'?

That being said, are there any people in our Congress who are actually attending to the serious and pressing issues that effect Americans everyday? They'd rather pontificate than actually apply themselves to border security, deal with Social Security issues, work for ways to decrease our oil dependence, etc.... The thing is, he and others like him are not smart enough to be problem-solvers, but are excellent at creating political issues with no substance.

Harry "Phony Patriot" Reid tried to 'hi-jack' credit for
the proceeds from his and the other 40 pin-heads
that signed the letter. It's all about form, not
about substance.

Politicians - people who realize that they will starve if they don't learn to lie and cheat. They eventually find a place in politics that will help keep the wolves away. Thus a politician is a nothing filled with air to give it three dimensions.
