Considering coloured peoples are the majority of the world's people and most of those live in the third world nations, I actually thought that if that Brazillian fellow got elected in - the church may actually become more humane in genuine ways. Maybe they would throw out some of the man-made archaic laws that they try to pass on as "god's law".

I did ages ago see an article on the net someone had posted about how the current pope belonged to a Nazi youth group. I don't know how true that was, but if it is, what irony?

"Thank goodness there was a very understanding mathematics professor," he continued. "He himself was a Nazi, but an honest man, and said to me, 'Just go once to get the document so we have it...' When he saw that I simply didn't want to, he said, 'I understand, I'll take care of it' and so I was able to stay free of it."

He reiterated this in his memoirs, printed in 1998.
