ratilfar says: No shit Sherlock! If you murder someone that does make you a criminal. What did he expect, a pat on the back? I think he wanted a Medal of Freedom. It's just an example of how deluded these extremists are. They really believe they are doing God's work, and should be applauded for doing so. He is product of brainless rhetoric for control of woman body with simple solutions to the complex problems. Dude, you're being treated like someone suspected of 1st degree murder, against whom there is a mountain of prima facie evidence. You're in jail. Jails are for people being held until trial, or those serving less than a year's time in a cage. Once you get sentenced and sent to prison, that's when your treatment a a for-real criminal begins. Hope this helps. I think he was hoping they would build a statue in his honor and sing songs about him around a thousand campfires. In that case: EPIC FAIL! The guy is a nut case. The only thing he is representative of is what mental illness can do. Even the "God hates fags" whack jobs aren't going around killing people. You know the lone gunman excuse would work except for this. It is as if they want nutjobs to do the dirty work for them. Does that go both ways? Do you hold Al Gore and all the environmentalists on the left just as guilty for murders committed by Ted Kaczynski? Do you hold the entire anti-war movement responsible for the death of William Long? Swing and a miss. Your examples fail for one good reason, those groups are not inciting violence against those whom they oppose, unlike talk-hate radio and the woman in the link who posted the addresses and pictures of other doctors just days after the murder of Dr. Tiller. The record is clear. No wonder DHS pointed the finger at homegrown terrorism and why so many in the far-right talk hate sphere (including some here on Clipmarks) panicked. I would ask if this would lead to a re-examining of the right support for unconstitutional anti-terrorism measures, but alas I know that won't happen as long as the targets of said measures are "Others" (non-whites, non-Christians). Oh well.... This is not an isolated incident. It is fear and hatred being spread disguised as Christianity: http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/80F0C37B-C0AD-4FB9-B359-FB04BD1D95F3/ http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/F4AAAF1E-269A-4A4D-8339-98F58D07D70D/ Your examples fail for one good reason, those groups are not inciting violence against those whom they opposeWrong. I can show you many examples of anti-war protesters holding signs advocating violence against out military personnel. And environmental extremists are known for frequently using violent techniques which cause property and personal injury and even death. The left often releases addresses, phone numbers, and even goes around and pickets those they don't like at home. Funny how when the left does it you don't accuse them of advocating violence. And if, as you claim, the pro-life movement was all about advocating violence, they are doing a piss poor job of it. Sin... Don't tell me you have examples, show them to me. Also the "left" does not have a cable news network and radio channels pouring out the hate. And if I see any examples of it (which I have not) I would say that it not something you should do (addresses that is). When have I not spoken out against these things? Nor was I condemning the whole movement, but their is a certain part of it, which this man belongs too that is all about violence. Also the "everybody does it" defense won't cut it with me. http://bit.ly/RJSfR http://bit.ly/9W6h0 http://bit.ly/4nAmVd http://bit.ly/DIWFj the "left" does not have a cable news networkMSNBC radio channelsAir America Both those stations spew ten times the hate of their conservative counter parts. And I don't accept the 'everybody does it' defense either. The only anti-abortionists who come anywhere close to the vile hatred of those anti-war examples I gave you (and that was just a taste) are those nut cases from Kansas which everyone on both sides of the spectrum despises. OK, you showed me four pics, where is the sustained camping of hate? Not that I agree with the people in those pics, those are hateful. Also have actually watched MSNBC, left-wing my ass! Air America, the shows I heard don't show any hate. So your claim of "ten times the hate" doesn't fly. It may or may not be left of your ass, but it is far left none the less. The fact you can't see how far left it is says a lot about you. As for Air America, I guess if you don't consider calling Laura Bush a murderer, or calling Bush a liar, killer, demon, devil, member of a crime family and so many more, or how about during the past election Randi Rhodes calling Hillary Clinton a f-ing whore before a live audience? I guess if none of that is hate then there isn't much hate on Air America. Calling George W. Bush a liar is not a statement of hate, it is a statement of fact, as is calling him a member of a crime family. Well, none of the things he said about Bush are untrue, a bit mean perhaps, insulting the Lucifer that way I mean, but still true. As for MSNBC, really, have you watched their programming? Just because the no-so-nice folks over at Faux News say it is far-left doesn't make it so. In fact, just because they say anything doesn't make it true, usually it makes it the opposite. As for what was said about Laura and Clinton, I like to hear the audio, if you don't mind. Also, that a pattern does not make, unlike the trifecta of Limpbalm, Boortz and Savage, and that is just the top tier. And don't get me started on the whole secession+terrorism scaremongering and Obama as the Islamofacistcommiepinkoantichrist thing. Besides, I should not have fallen into the rhetorical trap of false comparisons or like I like to say "No rapist will go to jail as long as a serial killer is on the loose". My bad. Well, I can see you don't want anything close to an honest debate. Your idea of balance is: Calling Bush Satan is just fine, referring to Obama as God is just honest analysis, but mentioning Obama's middle name is hateful anti-Islamic rhetoric. I never called Obama God, it's the Right that is obsessed with the so called "Messiah" thing, which considering how uptight they are about the "God" thing you would think they would not try blaspheme so readily. As for calling Bush Satan, like I said, that would be an insult to the Devil and a low blow at that. And Obama's middle name? Why even bring it up? Oh yeah, to try and convince the world that he is really a secret Muslim, and we all know that Muslims are bad...ummkay. So yeah, real honest debate you're going to have if your idea of a debate is fanciful lies, myths and misdirection. You bring facts to the table, we will talk, otherwise I won't waste my time. Obama was referred to as God on your unbiased MSNBC without any challenge by Evan Thomas of Newsweek. And you proved my point about your own biases getting in the way of any serious debate. Bush being called Satan is seriously funny to you while even the mention of Obama's middle name is a serious no-no. Again, proof. Who said it, when and what was the context. One person said it on MSNBC, ok, how many things are said in all of cable news by pundits, left and right that go unchallenged? Lots. That is a sign of bad journalism (if any is left) not of bias. The reason why mentioning Obama middle name is iffy is the whole scaremongering connotation with terrorism, treason, and the "Other" (non-whites). The Left doesn't interpret Bush as the Devil as anything other than he is a bad guy (and I doubt many have in fact made that connection), not as in OMG we must kill him before he ushers in Armageddon. So no, their not the same. Context and facts matter. And again, this "somebody is worse so I'm okay" style defense does not in anyway, shape of form prove your point. It is quite common for suspects in jail to be treated as if they are guilty and already convicted. Cook County jail conducts random mass strip-searches with dogs. I wouldn't doubt that he expects a medal of freedom, nor would I doubt that there are more than enough people who'd like to give it to him. |
