The real question is, did they work or was their effect imaginary? As age creeps up on me I find that my concentration on things is getting harder and harder to maintain, as well as suffering from a loss of word recall (when you know the word you want, know what it sounds like, usually what it starts with, but simply cannot recall the word) I often wish that there was something I could take to combat the effects of my addled mind. There is and you are doing it by using your brain with language at a site such as this. Keep exercising the brain. I find that hard to believe. I've been blogging, chatting, and using online forums for years - decades even, but I still suffer these effects that seem to get worse as I get older. I seriously believe that I am an Alzheimer's patient in the making. I can't retain more than 2 or 3 numbers if I'm copying information. If there is a drug that actually improves memory, mental processing, and concentration then I'm quite willing to try it if the side effects are minimal. |
