Cap and trade will be an embedded tax in everything from the car we drive, to the A/C that keeps us cool, to the gas we use to operate vehicles, to the food we eat, to the very air we breathe. All industries that make things or produce things (including food) emit carbon. Therefore, everything is subject to this program, and the “little guy” pays for it all in the end. What do these politicians in the House of Representatives hope to achieve through this bill? Reduce emissions and save the planet we assume. Why then, are we emulating the European Union’s famed ETS (Emissions Trading Scheme), which actually saw emissions RISE by 1.9% from 2005 to 2008? Could it be that our politicians are not REALLY As predicted, we the people must now depend upon level-headed Senate Democrats to kill the bill that represents the single greatest intrusion upon individual lifestyles in this nation’s history. The eight Republicans in the House made this travesty possible, and tea partiers all over the country are looking to Senate Democrats to do what they could not do since elected to power in 2006; govern responsibly. Again, cap and trade kills businesses, kills jobs, ships jobs to heavy polluters, places an undue burden upon the average American citizen, and does nothing to help the environment. There ought to be 100 no votes in the United States Senate pertaining to the debacle of Cap and Trade. Hope...
