No doubt the brain of a game player is having particular specific sections of the brain reinforced by the game play, leaving other areas to atrophy. The biggest difference may be, that the thoughts of an aspberger's syndrome sufferer can be a complete mystery. If you want to know what a gamer is thinking, you just have to watch them play the game. I hate the fact that, instead of just listing these very general symptoms, they stuck the name of a particular condition on the study to make headlines. I would be more impressed if the gamers were exhibiting specific symptoms of Aspergers like avoiding eye contact, being sensitive to touch, or having lots of nervous tics. |
