Prayer does nothing but make you feel good about yourself, and there is nothing wrong with that. I believe in God. But if I was to place total faith that He will provide for me and my family just by praying for it, I would die a starving destitute.

Jesus may be the light to millions of people but few of those people recognize that that ‘light’ is in each of us, it is called compassion for your fellow man.

Praying for things to get better does nothing if you don’t back it up with action.

Those farmers that Suzie thanked would have nothing if all they did was pray for their crops to grow.

Divine intervention? Shit happens. Hate to be crass, but its reality. Pray for yourselves to find the strength within you to endure the hardships that come your way. But get off your butt and your knees and do something about it. Help yourself and those who cannot help themselves. It is the most rewarding thing that any of us can do.
