"With their attention to colors, patterns and shapes and their ability to learn about new forms, one wonders how much these creatures can learn and what limitations they might have. They couldn’t read Dr. Seuss, of course, but they might enjoy looking at the pictures."

We have a tank with koi in the office. They spend their day watching people. They also come close to the glass and and do the "feed me" dance for if you stand in front of their tank. There is one individual that has been unkind (to the point that he is banned from coming near the tank). Whenever they see him they dash down to the bottom of their home and hide.
