I clipped this away back when I first joined ClipMarks, however I felt the need the clip it again because I'm afraid that we may all drown in a sea of complacency, self-interest or sublime indifference.

I could not agree more. Thank you for re-clipping this.

We will all become victims of the evil of others unless we are vigilant and care about our future and that of our children.

First they came for the "Islamic terrorists", then they came for "home grown terrorists" (American patriots), those who have "radical ideologies" (believe that Constitution is law), an ideology that does not tolerate a police states or tyrannical governments.

But regarding the Jews, Winston Churchill in fact wrote an article Bolshevism versus Zionism showing that what he called "international Jews" were the ones behind the bloody Russian Revolution, the Illuminatti (he mentions Adam Weishaupt by name, who was Jewish), to which he referred to as "terrorist Jews". They are akin to the neoconservatives and Zionists today who have hijacked U....

I have this on my Blogger site.

Huckabee & Obama???? I am so disappointed.
I hope you get a lot of pops for this, as it requires as big an audience as possible.

Huckabee and Obama. Mindboggling, especially Huckabee

This is especially important given what appears to be the apparent rise pf publically expressed antisemitism. One needs to attend to the evils within one's own nation - and perhaps one's own heart too.

I think blueridge may be referring to things like the Bilderbergers, the CFR, the Illuminati etc. (aren't you?) If so, I can't say I totally disagree either.

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - David Rockefeller

Then they came for the Clipper.
But I did not speak out.
Because I was not a clipper.

But I am indeed a clipper. POP for blueridge.

The above essay tells the tale of what can happen when one doesn't speak out about the evil in the world and becomes complacent because it doesn't involve him or her personally. Now we get to an interesting question, an important question. How do we define evil? Sometimes it's easily defined, such as the Holocaust, which was a true evil. I think there is a true divide in America today on the definition of evil. I think we are all influenced by the mainstream press, corporate America, and the agenda of what others with money want us to think to a certain degree. We need to think unconventionally and not selfishly, and for what is best for all of us on this Earth which IMO is a moral and...

Actually I cannot stomach the blueridges of this world. They appear to be filled with hate wrapped up- in their flag and disguised as patriots.

The message for anyone prepared to listen is that if we are not to become immoral misfits or worse we must have empathy for every threatened group.

Its NOT about being pro-Jewish or anti-Jewish

Agreed! It's about anti-evil. I don't know blueridge well enough to comment in general on his/her "hate issues", but the comment above didn't seem to me to be antisemitic, just anti-evil. (I may of course, be wrong?) I think it is bit bothersome though, when the the word "antisemite" is thrown at anyone who questions the means and motives of another, just because they happen to be a Jew. (I'm not accusing anyone! Just a general observation. ) The fear some people have of offending the Jewish nation, seems to cover the fact, there are evil people among them too (just as in any other "group", religious or not) Example: I am against Bush f.ex.(a self-professed conversationalist with a Chris...

Then tell us why in the context of the comments by Blueridge in the clip that you think so Toad. Do you think he/she is using the clip to shamelessly exploit your message for his/her own political purposes? If so, point it out!
Same goes for you Blueridge. Clarify your position towards evil. How do you propose to fight it? With violence or force? How do you define evil Blueridge? Are you falling within the definition put forth by Toad as a Patriot?

"Its NOT about being pro-Jewish or anti-Jewish". Nor is it a platform for conspiracy minded paranoids

I see no need to clarify that whih IMO is strong enough to stand on its own two feet.

I clipped the original as a thoughtpiece, NOT to be cheapened by tossing it around like some opportunistic political or idealogical football.

And now somehow the illuminati, the Bolshevic revolution has crept in.

Incidentally the illunimati has long ago been shown to be a well honed piece of folktale bullshit. However it did and still does serve a purpose.

Psychosis
Guilt
Look. You folks have nothing to feel guilty about for defending America. Why do so many now have such an ingrained sense of shame and guilt that it turns into paranoia to a degree that you think all these terms are meant to describe you?.
Nobody is applying "homegrown terrorist",etc. and plans of concentration camps and all the rest of it as being directed at you, --- EXCEPT YOU.
Please get well.

first they came for the racists and everybody cheered,
then they came for the antisemites, and everybody clapped
then they came for the rest fo the paranoid hatemongers, and we all lived happily ever after.

This is an example of why it's important to protect diversity. What threatens one of us threatens all of us. AN appropriate companion piece to this clip is Voltaire's quote, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

Unfortunately, too many people agree with Tom Stoppard's twist on it: “I agree with everything you say, but I would attack to the death your right to say it.”

Hate laws are the beginning of Inquisitions. It is amazing how the politically correct do not see what they are themselves doing while claiming to "fight evil" or "fight hate". They themselves are becoming the inquisitors of new persecution. Those who label "hate" on people are stamping their own brand on them. It is clear, however, from responses just who it is that hates whom. The tolerant and loving are only so in their own eyes. "Judge not lest ye be judged", that is do not judge hastily, rashly, without examining yourself.

First they came for the politically-incorrect, then....

No one is paranoid. We just read the language of the laws passed (Homegrown Terrorism act has been r...

I know this poem from my school day's in Germany. It has nothing to do with jews or terrorists or any particulary group.
This poem is about caring, social conciousness and against dumb egotists who believe they can survive by looking the other way.
