The guys over at <A target="_blank" href="http://mobilementalism.com/2006/07/18/nokia-n93-to-play-handheld-quake/">Mobile Mentalism</A> (via <A target="_blank" href="http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=33068">The Inquirer</A>) have pointed out that the upcoming Nokia N93 will include PowerVR architecture, making the device capable, at least in theory, of playing 3D games such as the mobile version of Quake, bringing such games out of the realm of smartphones and onto the Symbian platform.</DIV>
The handset is claimed to have a Texas Instruments Omap 2 chip, which supports Open ES1.1, which is apparently powerful enough to play the handheld version of Quake 3 (although I've mocked up using a Quake 1 image).
