Fast, because:
The way to highlight content and clip it would make it possible to not clip entire paragraphs but sentences of a text... I know that there is no way to highlight different parts of the page, but I think it would be very cool though.
I definitely feel this. Plus,
It would also give you the chance to clip without a clipmark extension installed (it sometimes happens when I'm at a friend's place or in public internet cafes).
I really, really want Clipmarks to work on Opera.

Yeah, opera is very nice (I once bought it but lost interest when FF 0.6 came out). And may be there will be a lot more cool new browsers in the future... I know that it takes a lot of time for development to make the Clipmarks Extension working on different browsers and if a browser is new there are not a lot of people who use it and therefore there is no priority to develop a CM extension for that...

The CM Button would fill that space.

However,
[- If he does not highlight content, just the meta description of the page gets copied (or if this is not possible, nothing gets copied, just the URL)]
I hope highlighting content is encouraged. I'm a believer of "the clipmarks way" of getting the gist of webpages. It's what makes this site empowering. We don't just archive whatever pages we come across, we choose texts that are helpful, important, or interesting. The rest, of course, we choose to leave out.

Yeah, definetly! I meant, IF a user does not highlight text, not that this would be a "nice to have feature". Just a fallback option.

Clipping just snippets is a must to fulfill the Clipmarks spirit and unique characteristics!

It's interesting you should mention the highlighted text clipping. I am working on the ability to highlight and clip multiple times for a single clip now. So far it's going great and we should be releasing it in the very very near future.
