Not trying to use his son's service in Iraq to his advantage is one thing I will give McCain credit for.

It's because McCain is smart in terms of war, and realizes he puts a HUGE bullseye on his son with every mention of it.

Look at what happened to Prince William- He had to be diverted from regular missions as the militants heard he was coming and were jumping with joy in anticipation of killing or capturing him.
