He could be on a Geico commercial.

He/she would start out as a baby wouldn't it? From all indications they weren't really that different from other so-called humans, why would special precautions and fail-safe measures be needed. I read a book once I think I still have it, if I do I'll put up the title. But it was about a girl who was human but she was actually a creation of human and neanderthal genes. Her appearance wasn't that different neither were her abilities in everything else. Two factions wanted her, one to let her live a normal life and the other for research. Good book.

On that note tanya, I remember hearing of a theory (I think it was in an episode of NOVA?) that countered the accepted theory that neaderthals went extinct, but rather were absorbed into the population through inter-breeding. They too were using the genome code. For instance, this theory suggested that neanderthals had more developed speech ability...I don't remember exact details now, but it sounded worthy of consideration.
