In legal terms, women are not human, according to MacKinnon.

At least it's only on legal terms. The ancient Greeks did not believe women had souls. Thomas Aquinas, a Christian church father, claimed that women were soulless "she asses". And just last night I read an old Russian proverb, "In 10 women there is but one soul". As long as there are men, there will be oppressed women. So sad.

So being one of the most widely cited legal scholars in the English language has no power.....makes sense to me. Yeah, the article is right. A law that explicitly states women's equality guarantees them nothing. Excellent argument, no flaw in that.
