I think hawks are beautiful birds, perhaps even more stately than eagles.

Birds of prey generally are amazing looking creatures. Small ones as well as large. I recently went on a weekend adventure into bush with a friend and we saw some smaller birds of prey "falcons" (if I am correct). Tried to get a close up but it did not come out very well, but then there are limitations to photography in that the camera never catches exactly what the eyes see - they never ever completely create the image as seen in the moment.

I know what you mean with the camera. Birds of prey have those deep set eyes and heavy brows, even owls have brows.

So intense are they!
