OK then. They take longer to get bright, but I can live with it. Of course, the fluoro bulbs are much more expensive to buy, but maybe if everyone is using them the price will go down. Talk to GE about it. They last longer and are cheaper to run which makes up for the cost. Worth it just to not have to change bulbs so often. But forcing people to switch is just kinda stupid. I have been changing over all my non-visible bulbs as they burn out, and now with the newer ones I will be replacing all my soft white bulbs as well, but for decorative lighting in certain fixtures incandescent bulbs are still the way to go. The only thing that's of concern is the mercury in these lamps. P.S. Incandescent light is so much prettier, and flattering. |
