Hilarious, doodleicious. Beck talked, had roundtable discussions, glorified the health industry, raised some concerns, brought to light some issues, and raved about the overall condition of the healthcare industry after he studied it in depth for months throughout this ordeal, and you base your "FACTS" on the John Stewart Show? Well, that about says it all, doesn't it!. Ignorance reigns supreme, and you have made yourself a useful idiot to statist, anti-libertarian ideologues. Congrats. Meanwhile, The president of Italy can't findmedical care in ALL of Europe that he trusts more than in the United States. Keep goin'.

This is ground that has been covered before and willhelm knows it. Daily Show viewers tested far higher on their knowledge of current events than did Fox News viewers.

In actuality ignorance reigns supreme at Fox News.

Fox News Viewers overwhelmingly misinformed on Health Care.

Is he still doing the Down-is-Up routine?

That is so old it's pathetic.

You talking about willhelm or Glen Beck

it's something.........i'll give you that much- for the life of me? i can't figure it out- but not be tuned into certain sensibilities- it did make for an interesting sunday- between gardening and discussing- well- it all went on for around 10 hours or so- the discussing part- off and on yesterday.........

Same difference Bobby, same difference.

Doodleicious, if Glenn Beck were right about most or everything he says, would it matter to you? If it does matter and you care about the truth, then please give the specifics about what he is wrong about.
8-31-2009 8:51 PM
BobbyRutan
Hey willhelm why do you call on others to provide specifics when you wouldn't provide any support for claims you made on another clip. I specifically asked you to provide the support for your claims and you refused.

Why are you being a hypocrite?

Because clicking on links or pushing the text editor button is just too darn hard.

You were asking for information that is readily available and easily found if so chosen. I, on the other hand, am asking for doodleiscious' perspective and opinion.
8-31-2009 9:09 PM
BobbyRutan
Actually it wasn't readily available and easily found. I did multiple google searches with various keyword combinations and never came up with anything supporting your claims.

I suspect it is another one of your fantasies.

glenn beck makes certain statements - for no other reason that i can see.......than to cause visceral reactions in his viewers
declaring that he thinks that obama is a racist.........
or his rant about whoopie goldberg and barbara walters- supposedly- getting VIP treatment on some train- it never happened- they merely sort of saw each other- on the said train- when called about it on their show the view- he hemmed and hawed and stammered and sort of said - oh well he didn't really mean what he'd said- then the very next day- got on air saying oh yes it had- yadayada- that they had indeed gotten seats - he hadn't or whatever that whole bunch of nonsense was about-
his statements on healthcare...

i might also suggest- listening to people who are intellectuals.....in such matters as- politics- foreign policy-economy...........not the talking heads that serve up their daily ration of opinion- or emotional takes......of how they happen to feel about this-that or the other......they aren't on cnn- or fox or msnbc.............i can tell you that much.........then come talk to me about how dead on you feel Glenn Beck is- when you do some actual research- and learning about the world in general
8-31-2009 10:23 PM
BobbyRutan
Hysterical, if there is anything that is easily attainable and readily available it is the many willing distortions provided by Glenn Beck and Fox News in general.

It's sad that conservatives don't find these distortions. It's so easy to do if the would just chose to do it.

or his rant about whoopie goldberg and barbara walters- supposedly- getting VIP treatment on some train- it never happened-
This was actually investigated by a jouranlist.-- Check it out. -- Everything...EVERYTHING Glenn Beck said was true and everything Whoopi and Walters said was not corroborated. So, what you think you know is a lie and what you thought never happened, actually did. Hmmmm. Wrong again.
declaring that he thinks that obama is a racist
He is not the only one. A pretty reputable psychiatrist suggests it is possible. Did You see the show. 4 percent of Israeli Jews believe Obama is anti-Jew or...

i am far from agreeing with much of anything coming from the right- and - that said...........i am not seeing much of anything coming from the left either-
there is no progress- on many fronts- political- economical...........no accountability- transparency.seems to me - like business as usual- more of the same..........no change.............just more of the same / with a new face is all..........

doodle, that is one of the most ignorant, bigoted things you have ever said. That's OK. I have have hope for you. I used to be a leftwing idiot myself. It may take until you ar 80, but people always become more wise, more libertarian, and more constitutionally conservative. It's just a matter of wanting the truth and growing up.

ok wilhelm- it's your bubble..........enjoy it- i mean i don't want to argue with you- if you loved politics as much as you say that you do- and feel you have your finger on the pulse of america and are well informed- you wouldn't be getting your talking points from glenn beck to begin with................
grrrr- i love ya man- but well.......you have your views- i have mine- we are polar opposites at best- lets just leave it here for now---- i am glad that you like beck- if he does it for you- and you feel he imparts words of wisdom- then go learn from him then..........- i don't mean to spew hate- or anything close to it...........and i will try and refrain from clipping anything that migh...

I hate politics. I guess that might kind of be why I watch Beck occassionally. He hates politics too. If you ever watched, you would know that. So...I have been the one to provide all facts and evidence. You have provided nothing but left-wing smear talking-points. My question earlier...Would it matter? I guess the truth doesn't matter to you. You just despise for the sake of despising.

Actually the Breitbart "investigative reporting" proves nothing. And Breitbart is hardly an impartial source.

Glenn asks on his radio broadcast "How did they (Barbara Walters and Whoppi Goldberg) reserve seats. You can't reserve seats on Amtrack".

ABC contacted Amtrack for Whoppi and Barbara.

Whoppi said they, meaning Whoppie and Barbara, had not requested reserved seats. That's true. Whoppi and Barbara did not reserve the seats.

Acknowledged by the Breitbart reporter is that Amtrack cabin attendents set aside seats for known passengers even though the guests have not reserved them.

The reporter on Breitbart even confesses that Barbara and Whoppi may not have been aware who reserved th...

That's quite a step to take a poll number that says 4% of Jewish Israelis see Obama as pro-Israeli (actually willhelm messed up his wording but I know what he meant) and flip that to suggest that means 96% of Jewish Israeli's believe Obama is a racist. That takes quite an imagination but willhelm has one.

That would imply that if only 4% of Iranians believed the Bush Administration was pro-Iranian then the Bush Administration would be racist.

you're welcome willhelm-- it just reflects some things generated for the Alaska tourist trade............i do lots of stuff though---well now that i am more or less in stable living conditions- and not moving every few months- and can devote the time and have space to work.........

Where is there any proof that Glenn Beck's audience is one of the most informed audiences out there?

If anything polling has shown that Fox Viewers are overwhelming misinformed. Why does willhelm persist in his charade without providing any supporting facts?

Daily Show viewers are more well informed on current events than Fox News viewers.

Colbert, Stewart viewers more well-informed than those watching O’Reilly, Dobbs.

And will link this one again.

Fox News Viewers overwhelmingly misinformed on Health Care.

This is a pretty good article on the appeal of Glenn Beck.

It's kind of like watching Jerry Springer if you read between the lines of this article.

NYT interview. He basically admitted that he was a fake, the word he used was clown (which fits perfectly).

The thing about Beck is that he is the perfect liar: He tells his audience exactly what they want to hear regardless of the truth.

And the perfect liar needs the perfect lie: One that has just enough the truth to sound believable.

He really can't pull it off, except for the true believers (Willy and his ilk). But then again, they can't admit that Glenn "Chicken Little" Beck is wrong because to do so means, by extension, that they are wrong, and by God they are never wrong, NEVER!

A "rodeo clown" to be precise.

At the same time, though, he says he is an entertainer. “I’m a rodeo
clown,” he said in an interview, adding with a coy smile, “It takes
great skill.”
Which seems to make him a comical/heroic figure, until the waterworks start. The fake tears he cries for a country that never was. At least Michael Jackson had the decency of calling his retreat Neverland.
