jakigood says: this quiz is really neat. only takes a minute and has fairly accurate results! i tested as a midlander - which makes sense - i am from southern ohio. Apparently, I'm from the Inland North. You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." LOL! It says that I probably get mistaken for a Canadian a lot! Eh!? I'm from California! I must have answered something wrong... Yeah, right!! I -Kwon Su- am from The Midland . LOL! Interesting, but centered on the US. Most of the English speaking peopel comme from other coutries. Being Canadian, I have a Pensylvania accent! Not to far off. Mine was dead on: You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." it was right on, it told me my accent was from NY & I am from NY Apparently they think I'm from the West. Well, I guess they are partially right since I'm from West Virginia You have a good voice for TV and radio.Hahaha, except no I don't. I worked hard in high school to rid myself of my Southern accent. I guess it worked. I got Inland North as well, although my real location - Northeast - was second. so the english i learned in germany is "inland north" accent. interesting Fun test. Born in W.Va but long enough in the South to sound that way. (Midlander) |
