Silkweaver says: Fascinating. This is an unexpected influence of technology on the mind. It is interesting to know how colored dreams affect one's worldview. I'm really impressed/ shocked by the outcome of this research. Even though I could slightly imagine the kind of influence tv can have on children, I had no idea that even the colour of their dreams could/ would be determined by what is seen on the television. Great outcome for the movements that want to ban commercials directed at kids! I was seven when our family got its first color set - back in those days, a TV was a piece of furniture: wood cabinet and all - but I've really never paid attention to the color scheme of my dreaming. It's probably been some of both. There's a "Calvin & Hobbes" strip in which Calvins dad tells him that until color film was invented the world was black and white. |
