When I was teaching I had a note from a kid saying "Please excuse Jimmy from games today as he has forgotten his kit" - how did I know it was fake? It almost fooled me.

Last month I'd used all my sick days, so phoned in dead.

If parent really did write those, I'd wonder how they got through grammar school.
