Get Bryce 5.5 for free on the Daz website and upgrade to the newest version (6.1) for $19.99 until June 30th. All down-loadable.
I use this 3D modeling software and I have to tell you folks that this is a steal. You can create beautiful landscapes, it has a very shallow learning curve, and it's easy and fun to use. Has a lot of pre-set options to choose from.
Get it while it's hot. Works on Windows and Macs.
