The only reason we seem to need to age is to provide space on our small planet for future generations. Though the rate we are destroying the planet I suppose that might not hold true either.

exactly, rmowery. if individual organisms didn't die, evolution would stall. and if a species couldn't evolve, it would die off as conditions altered.
