Recently took my kids to a Halloween party and they asked that we bring a covered dish. We took simple Mac and Cheese. The elbows we dyed with a red food coloring (a few drops) and there was twisted spiral mac we had which we dyed green. Let them each sit a few minutes and then mixed them and called it "Maggots and grass".

It tasted delicious!

We also took log pretzels and coated them with white chocolate and called them bones, and took small peanut better wafers and coated them with white chocolate and called them finger bones.

Also made up a dessert that consisted of lime jello, whip cream and cottage cheese, a couple drops of red food coloring and called it brains.

Kids loved it.

Oortcloud, that all sounds perfectly disgusting. What a fun party. I love gross Halloween food.

One year we had a party and I used a fake bloody rubber leg (washed of course) and put it on a tray with some lettuce and added cold cuts around it and over it. It was decidedly disgusting and wonderful.

I think we are going to try and make a go at this for the weekend. We don't have the mold, but I think we can get something together.

I told my wife we should shape a part of the a head, kinda like it was cut in half across the noseline. Lay it so the flat side is down and cook it up like the hand. Then put a boiled egg in the eye socket.

She didn't go for it. We're sticking with the hand.
