I saw an Afghanistan woman on the news the other night. It was the second time in her life she was able to vote. She was so proud of herself. She felt since she had the right to vote that it was her duty. She risked death to practice her rights. Here in Canada and in the U.S. a lot of women don't bother voting because they're to busy, any excuse will do. We should all be ashamed of ourselves. If we don't know something about a candidate or anything else needed to vote we should educate ourselves, we don't risk death. Watch for more propaganda like this and allegations of "voter fraud" like the recent incidents in Iran, all to justify American war and insurgency (wars for democracy) into Afghanistan. Pardon some of us remaining skeptical about such reports, for we also know if they are discredited no retractions or corrections will be published. |
