A fire broke out and spread through the building and resulted in the deaths of 82 members.

Problem is that it is now the people that cheered on when terrorism was elevated to a "special" crime that required "harsh" interrogations, "special detention" facilities, massive domestic surveillance in clear violation of the Constitution (see 5th Amendment) and retroactive immunity for law breaking corporation (at home an abroad) are now panicking because the giant spotlight has swung their way.

And Americans have been targeted before:

Peace activist
Environmental groups
Muslims
Civil Rights Lawyers
Journalist

And others. But as long as they were the "other" the Left, anybody but us, not only were they untroubled, but enthusiastically backed these measures.

DHS has been spewing these vague warnings for years (04 Democratic convention anyone) and the police have abused protesters civil rights (Republican conventions in NYC and the Twin Cities).

And don't expect them to suddenly wake up and say "Oh sorry, we were wrong, lets team up and fight this".

No they will not. As soon as they get back control, they will falls silent once more.
