I've always thought the word ass was a funny spelling of the ord. It's spelled arse.... An ass is an animal not a body part IMO

Yeah, yeah, I know, cultural differences and so on...but it still looks weird too me

Another very similar word to arse used, 'butt', is not a body part either, but the last bit of a cigerette. It's called a bum.
