Funny how some of those that comment here applaud what is said while the present administration (as well as those of the other party) act contrary to everything Jefferson stated above. The Bill of Rights has been trampled (particularly the 4th and 10th amendments), and majority rule is responsible for the unjust wars and worst legislation, and much of our complaints centers on this: A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference.George Bush called the Constitution: "Stop throwing the Constitution in my ... Then I would have to say... not enough people study the past... If we are not responcible for educating others around us and contribute to meaningful dialogue who is really to blame for the state of things? |
