Dr. Krauthammer in his column this week mocked the gaping hole between Obama’s verbiage and Obama’s cowardice: “Afraid of ‘meddling.’ Afraid to take sides between the head-breaking, women-shackling exporters of terror - and the people in the street yearning to breathe free. This from a president who fancies himself the restorer of America’s moral standing in the world.”

John Hinderacker of Power Line was less kind. He said there 5 other explanations for Obama’s brain freeze panic:

1) America is or has been evil, so it should do little or nothing in the world.

2) Obama is just a cautious guy who avoids risk at all costs.

4) Obama is bold when it comes to domestic policy but considers anything that happens in a foreign country an unwelcome distraction.

5) Obama can’t be in favor of democracy because Bush was for it.

I cannot believe 53% of Americans would elect someone this awful and this inexperienced. There has to be a better explanation.

But I am at a loss to present an explantion for the inaction.

Just as President Obama appears — and I stress appears because we know not what occurs behind the scenes — to be unable tocome up with a policy for Iran.

UPDATE: President Obama issued a statement. So what? I want a speech. That is the only thing he is good at, and he does not think the 80 million people are worth a speech? One lousy speech? He has time to attend a dinner with the PC Guy from the Apple commercials, but The Won is too busy to give 80 million people a little hope?
