very interesting. i wonder if that explains deja vu. maybe when you feel like you've been somewhere before it's because your mind is recreating brain patterns that you're familiar with. interesting clip.... Eric, I think the "deja vu" has already a scientific explanation (or a theory anyway). Something to do with an area of you brain (short term memory) which would have sometimes a micro-second delay in treating the information and transferring it to another area (long-term memory), which would translate for your brain as "I already saw that", while in fact it's the same information you have the feeling th have already processed (because of that small delay). Something like that. Problems to exactly test that is that even though almost everyone claims to have felt it at least once, it's impossible to recreate in a controlled environment (lab), because it seems to happen randomly.
