If one’s mind-set is rooted in the new liberalism, one tends not to be materialistically successful.
If one is unsuccessful, one is likely to support intermedling state authority in the hope that through government management, he or she will be provided for by economic-leveling.

Those who support "progressive" government, hope to escape their personal ineffectiveness.
Those who are intellectually advanced, do not support the advancement of centralized power that encroaches upon, and diminishes their liberty.

If Obama's vision of a new America ever materialized, the far-left, would quickly come to realize that the free lunch feeding trough would soon be emptied and there would be no one left to refill it, especially the government. They would simply starve to death waiting to be spoon fed.
It is mind boggling to imagine a group being so naive as to buy into the whole socialist/communist propaganda they have been indoctrinated into. But cults often do strange and suicidal things.
