But tons of money is being thrown at reducing carbon emissions - even though their harmful effects are vigorously disputed & more long term.

But that's an OLD problem. We need new problems that demand massively expensive machinery from sole source providers.

Something like pipes and trenching equipment are just not sexy. The Hollywood crowd won't want to be associated with something as plain as water or sanitation. Maybe if someone could find an angle dealing with baby animals it may get some attention.
